【摘要】:Itisimportanttoobtainatrulyrepresentativesampleofthethermoplastictrafficmarkingmaterialpriortoperforminganytests.Thiscanbedifficultduetothewiderangesofsizes,shapes,anddensitiesoftheindividualcomponentsthatareusedinthemanufactureofthesetypesofmaterials.Thesamplethatisobtainedusingthisguideshouldberepresentativeofthemanufacturedlotfromwhichitwasobtainedandcanbeusedforthetestingofthechemicalandphysicalpropertiesofthematerialasrequiredbythegoverningspecification.1.1Thispracticecoverstheproperfieldsamplingofthermoplastictrafficmarkingmaterialstoensuretestresultsarerepresentativeofthematerialbeingtested.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
