【摘要】:Measurementsofbendingstrengthandmodulusofelasticityinbendingshouldbemadeformaterialswhoseprincipalstressingmodeisbending.Formanymaterials,thetensileandcompressivemoduliaresomewhatdifferent.Sincethebendingmodulusisacombinationofthetensileandcompressivemoduli,itisoftendifferentfromeachofthem.Precisemeasurementsofthemodulusofelasticityinbendingandbendingstrengthrequiredueregardfornumerousvariablesthatmayaffecttheirdetermination.Theseinclude(1)characteristicssuchasspecimenorientationwithrespecttotherollingdirection,grainsize,residualstresses,previousstrainhistory,dimensionsandspecimenpreparation,orientationofdeformedgrainsrelativetothedirectionofthenormalstress;and(2)testconditions,suchastem-perature,temperaturevariations,conditionofthetestequipmentandadherencetotherecommendedtestprocedure.1.1Thisstandarddescribesthreetestmethodsfordeterminingthemodulusofelasticityinbendingandthebendingstrengthofmetallicstripsorsheetsintendedfortheuseinflatsprings:1.1.1TestMethodA--acantileverbeam,1.1.2TestMethodB--athree-pointloadedbeam(thatis,abeamrestingontwosupportsandcentrallyloaded),and1.1.3TestMethodCafour-pointloadedbeam(thatis,abeamrestingontwosupportsandloadedattwopointsequallyspacedfromeachsupport).1.2Valuesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.SIunitsareprovidedforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
